Our
Values We value peopleAll
people matter to God , therefore, all people matter to us. All people
need to meet and know His love and grace. As a church, we are not interested
in being the biggest church or having the nicest church building, we are
interested in people and their lives, people are the real church. We also
value people where ever they are in their relationship to God.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John
3:16)
We value prayer
Simple communication with God, or prayer, is the lifeline between God and
us. When we pray God works. We encourage both individual and corporate prayers
and are committed to be a praying church.
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. (Colossians.
4:2)
We value relevant worship
Passionate, relevant worship creates an environment that welcomes God into
our presence and helps us connect with Him. Our corporate worship will be
inviting to those both seeking God and those who are believers seeking to
glorify his name and grow spiritually. We recognize that God's plan of salvation
never changes, however, the ways it can be presented can. We will seek to
hold relevance to the community as a higher priority than tradition or our
own personal preference. We also acknowledge that true worship continues
as a lifestyle of living for God each and every day.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and
admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and
spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. (Colossians 3:16)
To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though
I am not free from God's law but am under Christ's law), so as to win
those not having the law. To the weak I became weak, to win the weak.
I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might
save some. (1 Corinthians 9:21-22)
We value family and community
Marriages and families are instituted by God. It is our desire to encourage
and support families in a world where it is becoming increasingly difficult
to maintain godly families.
Genuine community means living in caring relationships that are guided by
biblical principles and grounded in spiritual accountability. We value real
relationships knowing how messy and hard that can be.
Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he
will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6)
Carry each others burdens, in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
(Galations 6:2)
They devoted themselves to the apostles teaching and to the fellowship,
to the breaking of bread and to prayer.(Acts 2:42)
We value service
Jesus demonstrated that the most influential life is a sacrificial life.
We desire to be the visible hands and feet of God in this world. Meeting
and helping the poor, the lost, and the needy, as Christ called us to do.
Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others,
faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. (1Peter 4:10)
We value teaching and spiritual
growth We hold fast to teaching people
the truth of God's love through relevant messages from His holy Word, the
Bible. In doing so, training us to live our lives in service to Him daily.
Spiritual growth means that we are becoming, looking and acting more and
more like Jesus Christ. Growth is the evidence of Jesus Christ in our lives,
through the working of the Holy Spirit.
All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking,
correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God, may
be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3: 16-17)
Be imitators of God, therefore as dearly beloved children. (Ephesians
5:1)
We value identifying and using God's
gifts for his kingdom The Bible says
God has given a spiritual gift to each of us. We will empower and encourage
our members to use these gifts to reach others and to show God's love.
We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. (Romans
12:6)
Since you are eager to have spiritual gifts, try to excel in gifts that
build up the church. (1 Corinthians 14:12)
